Over the past few months, I’ve been keeping my eye on the development and release of the new Japanese live action film adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin. After it’s release on August 25th in Japan, Kotaku posted this review: Rurouni Kenshin Movie Review
There are tentative plans for an international release date, but nothing genuinely solidified as of this posting. This means I will have to enjoy my beloved anime/manga franchise in live action form through the illegally uploaded trailer videos (which I have provided for your viewing pleasure). The second one, in particular, gives you a good look at the major characters and the general feel of the film.

And also, if you don’t mind just watching behind the scenes clips in languages you can’t understand- here’s a look at how director Keishi Otomo made the story of the legendary Battosai come alive.
Now, here’s to hoping for an American release in some form!
