Dream LEGO Sets Made Possible

In my wanderings of the internet, I stumbled across this glorious re-creation of Hyrule in LEGO Bricks:

Designed by Wes Talbbot, this set, “Iron Knuckle Encounter” is featured on the site LEGO CUUSOO. This website functions like a LEGO-specific of Kickstarter. If you have an idea for a LEGO set, you create a Project, share your product concept, and see what other people think. If you see a project you like, you and choose to “support” that project. Projects with 10,000 supporters are reviewed quarterly by LEGO for a chance to become an official LEGO product. If your project is made into an official product, you will receive 1% of all royalties… which for designing a LEGO set could actually be fairly lucrative.

For example, this Minecraft play set was designed, sponsored and then made into an official LEGO product through CUUSOO.

Here are some of the current sets that seem amazing and are still looking for sponsors:

Traditional Japanese Architecture LEGO Set

Settlers of Catan, LEGO style.

The conceptual design of Finn and Jake’s Tree Fort from Adventure Time.

Someday, I might design my imaginary Ba Sing Se City LEGO play set from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Is there any LEGO set you’d dream to see?
