This week’s featured art(ist) is Croatian national, Stjepan Sejic.
Sejic works as a professional artist, he’s done work for a number of popular franchises. He also does killer fan art of his favorites. I love the polished and dynamic feel of Sejic’s work, there’s a movement in his composition that makes the art a living thing. It’s very cool.
Sejic is both a comic writer and illustrator, working double time on projects like Ravine and Death Vigil. You are more likely to recognize his work from the comics covers he creates, since he works for Top Cow, Dynamite, Zenescope and DC Comics. His style feels grandiose and sweeping in scope, perfect for the realm of fantasy and superheroes.
I’m also a big fan of his humor/parody sketches. Above is one of my favorites, mostly because I appreciate someone recognizing how hard it would be for all the buff lady heroes to find clothing. Also, Wonder Woman looks murderous. For more of his humor sketches, go here.
